Meralco raised Yellow alerts because of tight power supply

brown out

Luzon is still reeling of tight power supply because of the effect of typhoon Rammasun (Glenda) which have devastated the country and Meralco raised the Yellow alert since power supply situation remains tight for the Luzon grid.

So because of this expect brownouts on Sunday and the followings days specially if another major power plant shuts down this week.

Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla said “We are on yellow alert on Sunday to Friday, except Monday where we will be on red alert.”

We are not yet off the hook with this rotating brownouts, so keep your phones charged and ready.

Typhoon Rammasun (Glenda) death toll in the Philippines is now at 94. It is also the strongest typhoon to hit southern China in four decades and has already killed 17 people in China.
