Just like in the Cory Aquino years Rotating brownouts hit Metro Manila

THE Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said that there will be a tentative 3 hours rotating brownouts in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Which is due to "power supply deficiency”, according to their spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga.

Affected by the rotating brownouts are: Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Pasay, Navotas, Makati, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasay, Pasig, Marikina, Pateros, Taguig, and Quezon City.  
  
The schedules are: Starting 10:27 a.m. -- Rosario, Cavite; Meycauayan, Calumpit, Hagonoy and Malolos in Bulacan.
  
Until 1 p.m. -- Paco, Quiapo, San Miguel, Ermita in Manila; parts of Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasig Cities;  Santo Tomas in Batangas; San Pablo, Alaminos, Magdalena, Majayjay in Laguna; Dolores, Candelaria, Tiaong, Tayabas, Lucban, Sampaloc, Lucena and Pagbilao in Quezon.
  
From 1 to 4 p.m. -- Parañaque, Pasay, Taguig, Cainta, Taytay, Binangonan, Jalajala, Pelilla and Cardona in Rizal;  Concepcion, Calumpang, San Roque, Dela Paz, Nangka, M. Heights, Parang, Sto. Niño in Marikina;
  
From 6 to 9 p.m. -- Don Bosco, Sun Valley, Tambo and Baclaran in Parañaque;  Pamplona, Pulanglupa, Almanza, Ilaya, Zapote and San Dionisio in Las Piñas; and parts of Muntinlupa.
  
Meralco said the supply deficiency was brought  about by the unavailability of several power plants including the 1,2000 MW Ilijan plant which had to undergo a pipeline inspection gauging activity.
  
The Meralco power interruptions affected some 240,000 customers.
