President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his first explosive State of the Nation Address (SONA).  He reads part of  prepared speech and gives impromptu comments about it.

- He promised to lower individual and corporate tax rates during his term.
“We will lower personal and corporate income tax."
- relax the bank secrecy law.
- Duterte says the bonafide media are his partners for change
- Duterte offers Sangley Point to have runway to accommodate private jet owners as a means to decongest Naia
- Duterte vows to put up Panay Railways Project.
- Duterte boasts to Congress and Aquino gov't: Naunahan ko na kayo sa FOI
-  I am not vindictive, but crooked execs will be punished.
- Duterte slams human rights groups, church for criticizing him about spate of summary killings.
- Duterte urges Congress to amend charter for a federal system of government patterned after France
- I assure you, this will be clean government
- Duterte announces unilateral ceasefire with CPP-NPA "effective immediately."
- Duterte:Human rights must work to uplift human dignity. But human rights cannot be used as a shield or excuse to destroy the country
- Duterte:Let me repeat my warning to all i repeat my repeat my repeat to all - Do not do drugs.
- Duterte: Vindictiveness is not in our system (dig at Aquino government)
"We cannot move forward if we allow the past to pull us back. finger pointing is not the way."
