Female Casino manager Dies After Being Mauled by Boyfriend

Edgel Joy Durolfo, a 26-year-old resort and casino assistant manager at the Solaire Resort & Casino died while undergoing treatment after she was allegedly drugged and beaten up by her live-in partner Rodney Ynchausti and three companions last Sunday February 28 in Parañaque City. It happened inside Room 812 of the Solaire Sky Tower along Aseana Boulevard in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

Ynchuasti and his companions who were identified only by their aliases Paul Egoc, Molo Hwang, and Beah Lim took Durolfo to the hotel clinic. They transferred her to San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay after she slipped into a coma and suffering internal bleeding due to multiple bruises in her face and body. She died while in the hospital.

"According to the police Durolfo's parents actually ran into Ynchausti at the hospital. He even apologized to them before going missing with the other suspects," ABS-CBN News report.

"Authorities have asked Solaire hotel for a copy of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the crime scene. They will also examine the victim's cellphone while waiting for the results of her autopsy test" the news report added.

Parañaque City police chief Supt. Ariel Andrade said they are now hunting down Ynchausti and his companions. Andrade revealed that the group most likely forced Durolfo to take an Ecstasy pill before they mauled her.

The suspects were identified by the police through the victim’s sister, Ethel Durolfo.
