VP Binay Tops New SWS Presidential Survey

Vice President Jejomar Binay has reclaim the top spot in the newest presidential survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Based on the SWS survey that was conducted from February 5 to 7, showed that 29% of 1,200 respondents would vote for Binay to be the country's next president. However, his lead against his rivals slightly dropped from 31% in January. Binay is ahead by 5 points to the 2nd placer Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Grace Poe, who got 24% each. 4th place goes to administration bet Manuel Roxas II with 18%.

Meanwhile, Senators Francis Escudero and Ferdinand Marcos Jr. were tied in 1st in the vice presidential race with 26 percent each.

Escudero, for the first time, lost the lead as his score dropped by two percent while Marcos' rating improved by one percent, the SWS said.

In the senatorial survey, the top 5 leading candidates were Senator Vicente Sotto III 52%, Panfilo Lacson 49%, Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto 46%, former senator Francis Pangilinan 42%, and Senate President Franklin Drilon 40%.
