ILOILO City — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is on heightened alert for the celebration of the 2016 Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City.
Police Chief Superintendent Bernardo Diaz, chief of the Police Regional Office said police forces have already been deployed to prevent major criminal incidents in transpiring during the January 24 festival highlight.
Ambassadors, government officials, politicians, visitors, and locals are expected to flock to the downtown area of Iloilo City to witness the last day of the one week festivities that honor the Santo Niño or the Holy Child Jesus.
