22YO Single Mom was blindfolded then gang raped in Angeles City
ANGELES CITY - A single mother accussed 8 Koreans in Angeles City, Pampanga of raping her. She said that she was blindfolded then raped. Police chief Senior Supt. Eden Ugale of Angeles city said that a medico-legal exam confirmed that mom 22, from Bulacan had sexual intercourse on the night of the alleged rape.
According to the victim, she met up with a certain Mr. Lee whom she met online through a dating site.
"Naka-chat po niya and then niyaya po siya ng suspek na lumabas at siya naman po ay pumayag. Sila ay nagkita at sinakay sa sasakyan nung Koreano at kumain sa isang restaurant dito sa Angeles," he said.
Then after dining in a restaurant, they boarded the Korean's car where she was blindfolded.
"Pagkatapos po nilang kumain, sumakay po ulit ng kotse at sa loob naman ng kotse, siya ay piniringan. Isa lang po yung Koreano, yun ang kwento. And then, dinala po siya sa isang hindi niya malamang lugar at pagdating niya po doon, naramdaman niya na may iba pang mga lalaking humawak sa kanya at siya ay...yung iba siya ay hinipuan. Naramdaman na lang niya na siya ay ginalaw. Isa-isang gumalaw sa kanya," he said.
The victim said she was able to remove the blindfold and saw Mr. Lee with 7 other men. Then she was brought to a hotel where she was again raped. She tried to fight back but was held down by the suspects. The victim admitted drinking Korean wine when she and Mr. Lee were at the restaurant.
A CCTV footage also showed the victim entering the hotel with Mr. Lee.
Police are now coordinating with the Korean embassy and local Korean communities to identify Mr. Lee.
However, one of the Koreans accused of raping the 22 year-old single mom went to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Pampanga to deny the allegations against them. He said he is Mr. Lee and he was the one she met through a dating online site.
Lee, said that they did not rape the victim. Instead, they agreed on paying the woman P3500 for her "services" but was able to give her P1000 that night and asked her to collect the rest of the payment the next day.

Cybercrime test case Online sex video
MANILA, Philippines - Justice Secretary Leila de Lima ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the complaint filed by a 17-year-old girl seeking to stop the circulation of a sex video that has been on the Internet for two years now. She said that this case will be resolved through other relevant laws since the Cybercrime Prevention Act has been halted.
The complaint was filed via electronic mail on October 3, the first day of the law’s implementation. Acting on 15 petitions against the law, the Supreme Court on October 9 issued a 120-day halt order.
De Lima assured the case will prosper since the NBI, backed by other laws, can still request websites to remove the video.
"The NBI may act on this case perhaps under anti-photo and video voyeurism act or R.A. 9995. The victim is a minor, so can you imagine the anguish, anxiety and humiliation she went through because of that? We need to preserve human dignity," she explained in a chance interview.
R.A. 9995 imposes the penalty of three to seven years of imprisonment and a fine of P100,000 to P500,000 against a person found guilty of voyeurism.
Nonetheless, de Lima said they will continue accepting complaints falling under the new law for evaluation purposes.
"If the complainants insist that we act, we will ask them to excuse us and explain to them that the cybercrime law is not in effect. But we will evaluate the complaints and see if other laws may be applied," she said.
