VP Leni Robredo Nagpasarap sa US Habang Binabayo ng Bagyo ang Bicol
MANILA, Philippines - As Super-typhoon Nina (international name Nock-Ten) pound her home provice, Vice President Leni Robredo found herself on the defensive for spending the Christmas break in the U.S.
She was criticized for her decision to go through her vacation in the United States even though it has been reported that her province is in direct path of the typhoon. Her spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said yesterday even though Robredo was away she was coordinating relief efforts.
Hernandez said Robredo “has been monitoring and directing the Office of the Vice President (OVP) to work with regional officials and agencies in setting up local relief centers for immediate emergency response on the ground.”
