MILF Rebels removed SAF's bulletproof vests before killing them without Mercy
Autopsy report on the bodies of the slain police commandos said that some of the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) officers who were killed in the January 25 firefight with Moro rebels in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, based on evidence have been executed mercilessly since they had gunshot wounds in the head and were apparently shot at close range. 3 of the dead had bullet wounds in the upper part of their body, that shows their bulletproof vests had been removed before they were shot.
Director Benjamin Magalong, chief of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said the autopsy was conducted by the personnel of the Crime Laboratory Office of the PNP Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao from January 27 to 28.
