The Department of Health (DOH) have advised 415 passengers who are in the same airline flight with a man infected with the MERS virus. DOH wants them to get themselves checked by the department immediately.
DOH issued the order to passengers on the Etihad Airways flight EY 0424 from Abu Dhabi to Manila on April 15, 2014.
It is a precautionary measure to make sure that the deadly MERS virus don't infect anyone in the country. The man who has been diagnosed with the virus has since been quarantined along with his family.
Health Secretary Enrique Ona said, of the 415 passengers of EY 0424, 119 have been contacted and 72 have been tested with 40 of them have negative results.
The virus incubation period is 14 days, all passengers should submit to testing.
