Of the 14 Filipinos who were injured following a truck explosion in Saudi Arabia Thursday, seven have been discharged from the hospital according to Department of Foreign Affairs.
"Of the 14 Filipinos who got injured in the Riyadh fuel truck blast, seven have already been discharged as of today," DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez Twitter account.
On Thursday, Hernandez had cited initial reports indicating at least nine Filipinos were hospitalized and three had been discharged.
At least one Filipino, Florentino Santiago, was confirmed killed in the explosion. The Philippine embassy had promised to facilitate the repatriation of his remains.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration assured Santiago's family of death benefits, scholarship for one of his children, and livelihood assistance for his widow Jocelyn.
